We are certified! Navigatr Achieves Open Badges 2.0 Compliance

In the ever-evolving landscape of digital education, there's always room for the next exciting chapter. Navigatr, is proud to announce a significant milestone - achieving Open Badges 2.0 Compliance. This achievement comes under the umbrella of 1EdTech, formerly known as IMS Global, and further solidifies Navigatr's commitment to excellence in digital badges.

Open Badges 2.0: A New Era in Recognition

What exactly is Open Badges 2.0, and why is it so important? Open Badges 2.0 is the latest iteration of the Open Badges standard, a technology that empowers individuals to carry their learning experiences with them, creating a comprehensive record of their lifelong learning journey.

Introduced by Mozilla in 2013, the Open Badges standard has gained traction and been embraced worldwide, thanks to 1EdTech guidance since 2016.

Tim Riches, Navigatr Founder said: “We’re proud to be awarded Open Badges 2.0 Compliance. This achievement aligns with Navigatr's vision of creating a skills currency, giving individuals control over their learning data, and adding third-party endorsements to validate their achievements and takes us one step closer towards creating a global skills currency. It ensures individuals have ownership and control of their learning data and builds increased trust by adding third-party endorsement to learners' achievements. We believe this is the way forwards for communicating skills in the digital age."

Navigatr's Journey to Open Badges 2.0 Compliance
