Release the badge pathways! Introducing embed

If you see it, you can learn it. Today, we’re introducing more ways to share learning pathways, wherever the learning is happening.

We're launching our latest share feature — embeddable Pathways. What’s more, in addition to embed, we’ve also expanded our Pathway Builder (read more about that here) and we’ve updated how Pathways display, opening them up to learning providers today.

With more and more provisions moving online in the last year, there are now millions of people learning online every day. Embed is our latest step in bringing together the worlds of digital badges and learning content. With Pathways embedded on a page, we’re joining the dots and making it easier for people who engage with online learning resources to see where they are in their journey, what the next step is and the recognition they’ll receive for completing a module, activity or piece of learning.

Embed Pathways

With embed Pathways, learner providers or employers can use the share function to embed the full Pathway they have created directly into their website or learning management system. Simply click the Share icon in the Pathway view and copy the code to embed in your own website, or pass the code along to your IT team.

Learners can still swap out badges for alternative activities, or head back to the Navigatr app to find more Pathways to engage with.

Embedding Pathways will make it easy to align your learning content and the recognition you’re offering with digital badges, allowing learners to see and share their progress along a learning Pathway and choose their own route to develop the skills needed where this is possible.

“The badge pathway allows a learner to develop a narrative around his or her own learning, this builds personal value for the learner while externally promoting his or her learning goals and proficiencies.”

Carla Casilli, Mozilla’s Director of Badge System Design + Implementation - Badge Pathways Part 2

The future of learning will rely on online and offline experiences that are joined up and offer recognition for the learning taking place. Pathways will allow learners to see curated collections of badges in context and to choose their own route to find what’s best for them.

Providers or employers interested in the latest with Pathways and embed can get in touch for more information.
